Just got back from a brief vacation in Detroit, which is a city that doesn’t get as much love as it should. Great food, people and vibe. Highly recommended for those up for seeing one of America’s great cities.
Still feeling inspired, today’s post concerns blaxploitation one-off Detroit 9000. Released in 1975, this film offers a smart, insightful take on race relations and politics while also doubling as a smooth police procedural. Whether for its gritty Detroit atmosphere or its intelligent script, Detroit 9000 is worth checking out. A must for fans of 70s American crime cinema.
